Prolonged Consultations- Complex medical problems will require a longer appointment to allow adequate time for proper assessment and treatment.Longer appointments are also advised for Aviation Medicals, Skin Cancer Checks, Well Women Checks, Health Checks, Pre-Employment and Insurance Medicals
A consultation is required for completion of any forms including Travel Subsidy, Taxi Subsidy, Disability Parking, Private Insurance, Centrelink and Medical reports. Please note that fees apply to these services and are not medicare rebatable.
New Patients New patients with existing medical problems may also require a long appointment. If you are a new patient, please arrive earlier for the entry of your details. It is also important that when you arrive for your consultation, you register at the Reception Desk and ensure that all your details are all up to date. This will prevent unnecessary waiting.
Interpreters Our doctors are multilinguistic and can consult in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Bengali However if you need an interpreter it can be arranged through the TIS(The Translating and Interpreting Service).
For our patients with hearing or speech impairment, we utilise the National Relay Service (NRS) .
Did not Attend Policy-A DNA occurs when appointment is not attended and the patient has not contacted the Practice in advance to cancel it or when the cancellation is so late as to make it impossible to allocate to another patient who needs treatment.Where three or more Did not attend appointments have occurred, the patient will be informed that they can no longer pre-book appointments at the practice. A note will be made in the patient file to alert reception that they cannot have pre-booked appointments. They will be offered the option of walk-in appointments, whereby they can come to the practice and wait for an opening to see the doctors.Should the patient continue to display a disregard for the practice policies and procedures and continue to have further DNAs, they will be formally removed from the practice patient list.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic and introduction of telehealth rebates from the Department of Health, our practice has made significant changes to our appointment bookings and on-site access.
Our priority remains to continue providing quality healthcare service to our community
We are encouraging all our patients with COVID-19 to book Telehealth Consultations.
We are also able to offer telehealth consultations to regular patients of the clinic (have attended the clinic for a face to face consultation within the last 12 months) for certain consultations, if clinically appropriate and in guidance with RACGP Guidelines.
